Starting your curl journey can be both challenging and rewarding. When I started embracing my curls a year and a half ago, I found it especially difficult to find the best styling tools. This brush is my go-to for detangling. I recommend using The Ultimate Detangler in the shower with your conditioner in, this provides slip and makes detangling curls infinitely easier. This brush is particularly good for curly hair because it has extremely flexible bristles that are still stiff enough to reach the scalp. This brush is also great for dry detangling before refreshing. It's great for all hair types, but best for fine to medium curls.

The best detangling brush for thick curly hair, hands down. This brush works especially well for 3a-4c curls; the magic is in the way the brush is designed. It has a bridge that connects the brush heads. Once you remove that bridge, the brush itself bends with the bristles, resulting in the softest flow to your curls.

This brush has countless uses and I think it is one of the must-have brushes for every curly girl. You can use it to untangle strands. However, I think this brush really excels in its ability to style your curls. While your hair is wet and you have added your styling product, the Denman brush can be used to define curls in a variety of ways. You can pull the brush down through the curl strand as you twist it to create larger, more uniform curls, or you can brush straight through your hair to ease clumping before shaking or scrunching the curl clump. Both methods produce beautiful results!
