For Nintendo Switch gamers who prefer story over combat, the eShop’s search function isn’t exactly helpful. But for the best story-driven games on Switch in 2024, you’ve come to the right place.

These aren’t new releases. I’ve focused on 2019-2024 for these games, so they’re all recent(er), but there haven’t been that many narrative Nintendo Switch games released this year. Some have yet to come out, like The Garden Path and other fun games coming to PC and Switch this year. Either way, let’s take a quick look back and dig up some of the best indie and narrative games coming to Switch.

Alex Chen moves to the small town of Haven Springs to reunite with her long-lost brother Gabe and start a new life. Shortly after her arrival, Gabe dies in a mysterious accident while they are on a little adventure together. Alex has the power to feel the emotions of others, and in the face of tragedy, she can no longer hold herself back from holding back her strength.
