Amazon Prime's Fallout TV series has been nothing short of bomb-tastic, with fans and critics alike praising everything from the story to the countless easter eggs of Bethesda's gaming franchise. The show's finale paved the way for what will be an even bigger second season, with Lucy MacLean and Cooper Howard now having a longer journey ahead of them. After Super Mutants were mentioned by none other than West Tek's Leon von Felden during the Fallout Season 1 finale, it seems almost inevitable that we'll get a formal introduction to them during Season 2. West Tek was the architect of the Forced Evolutionary Virus (FEV), which created the Super Mutants in the first place, along with other mutated creatures players will encounter throughout the games.
But like almost every other monstrous experiment that took place at the hands of some corporate power, the Super Mutants broke loose from West Tek into the California Wastelands. Gradually, they migrated throughout the country, their numbers growing exponentially in the Capital Wasteland of Washington, DC.
