100 Thieves suffered a disappointing end to what should have been a promising season for the organization, but 100T wasted no time preparing for the next phase of their VALORANT journey by securing a key piece of the puzzle.
Meet our new head coach…
In a post on X dated August 14, 100 Thieves officially announced that Anthony “Zikz” Gray has signed a contract extension with the VALORANT team, keeping him with the organization as head coach through 2027. In a press release, the organization said that this is the “first of many steps for 100 Thieves as we continue to build championship-caliber rosters.”
Zikz is one of the brightest minds in the North American VAL scene, and was part of the Evil Geniuses roster that won VCT Champions in 2023. “Tony is a rarity in the esports space,” Joseph Jang, VP of Esports for 100T, said in the press release. “There are very few people in the scene who can maintain world-class form across multiple titles.”
Although Champions 2024 is still ongoing, the organization is wasting no time in putting together the program for the upcoming season. 100T did not live up to the expectations they had for themselves after a promising start to the season.
