DWService is a free and open-source project that really simplifies remote access. The host installs or runs the program temporarily, and the client logs in via a web browser to execute commands, control the screen, or manage files and folders.
This is the tool I’ve used the last few times I’ve remotely connected to a family member’s computer for remote tech support. I’m putting it at #1 for two reasons: it’s incredibly easy to use for both me and the people on the other end of the call, and it has the useful tools I need to diagnose and fix problems remotely.
The host has two options: download the DWAgent and then run it for one-time on-demand access (ideal for technical support), or install it for permanent remote access (ideal if it is your own computer).
