I am a hairstylist who believes in embracing the color and texture of the hair you grow naturally. I would like to share with you some hairstyles for thin gray hair, as well as tips and ideas on how you can experiment with your fine locks too. Read on, because life is too short to wear boring hairstyles!
How I style my thin gray hair 60+ (OLDER see below for NEWER video)
This hairstyle looks especially great on hair with highlights and/or longer hair. I added some unbraided hair between the two braids to make the final bun look a little more substantial. Use dry shampoo on clean hair to give your hair some volume and texture. This can also cause hairpins or hair ties to slip out.

The easiest way to make myself a Dutch braid is to grab the added hair on each side at the same time, always starting with the same side. (I started this braid by adding hair from the left side first, so each time I add more hair, I start with the left side.) Then I braid, always starting with the side where you grab the hair from the second side. (For me it would be the right side.) Repeat, repeat, repeat, then put your arms back down before they fall off. It took me 40 minutes to write out these instructions, so please message me if they are too confusing and you would like them in another language.
