Save yourself time and frustration
10 Google Search Tips That 99% Of People Don't Know
Google is easy to use. You can type almost anything into the search bar and expect useful results. However, you can customize how Google performs its searches to increase the chances of finding what you’re looking for in fewer steps and with better accuracy. Learn these Google search tricks and you’ll save yourself a lot of time and frustration in the future.
When you type a phrase into Google, the search engine looks for many permutations of that word to give you the most relevant results. However, if you know the exact text you’re looking for, such as a book title, you can force Google to show only results that perfectly match a string of text. To do this, enclose your search term in double quotes.
You can use a hyphen to precede words that you don't want to include in your results. This makes it easy to omit results for something else that shares a key word in your search terms. For example, if you're searching for the band The Eagles but don't want results for the sports team Philadelphia Eagles, you'd search for The Eagles -Philadelphia.
