Cut off the top section of your hair and create fishtail braids. Then cross the braids over each other and add the free hanging strands, bringing them to the top of the head. Pin where the hair needs to be secured and allow some of the front strands to flow freely.

Here is a deceptively complicated looking pony. But take a moment to read the instructions. Brush the hair straight back. Then pull back half of the top hair in a tight twist. Pin it above the right ear. Pull some hair from under the gathered section, twist it and pin it above the left ear. Continue repeating this with the lower sections of the hair, securing it as you go. Finish when you have twisted all the strands and left some ends at the bottom natural.
