Classic Cat is without a doubt the best place to download free classical music, as it has 7,000 listings. It offers searches by genre, instrument, composer and performer, and provides a list of the 150 most popular works. There is also a list of visitor favorites on the side of each page.

What I don’t like is that there is no music on Classic Cat. You are taken to other websites to download the songs. Each download therefore has a slightly different process. This also increases the chance that you will encounter broken download links, although they say that there are regular link checks to prevent that, so that is great.
