Current Mac minis with Intel processors are not yet available, but a new Mac mini model with the 'M1X' chip is coming.
The new M4 Mac Mini is coming! | Expect HUGE changes!
In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman revealed that the next Mac mini will replace the current Intel models. The new hardware will use what's being called Apple's "M1X" chip (an unofficial name), which is a step up from the current M1 chip. He also states that the new Mac mini is expected to ship "in the coming months," possibly as early as the fall.
While no official details or images are available yet, Gurman says the new Mac mini will get an updated design to match the updated internals.
The new Mac mini will also reportedly have more physical ports than the current model. What the extra ports are for, however, was not specified.
