When composing an extended HTML message in Windows Live Mail or Outlook Express, you can do a lot with the formatting toolbar, but you can't do everything that HTML offers. Access to the HTML source gives you that.

To edit the HTML source code of a message you are composing in Windows Live Mail or Outlook Express.

From the message menu, select View > Edit Source.
