Multiple updates are on the way for Adobe's Premiere Pro and After Effects video editing platforms, bringing more tools and improved software performance.
Premiere Pro 2024 Update – New AI Features, Text-Based Editing Updates, and More! | Adobe Video
If you use After Effects or Premiere Pro (or both) for video editing, Adobe has a range of new features and updates that promise to make your job easier, both in terms of specific editing tasks and by making the software faster.
Text-Based Editing, powered by Adobe’s Sensei generative AI process, lets you copy and paste text into the video timeline, which Premiere then analyzes and transcribes. Color balancing and HDR footage adjustments also get an automated option, saving time otherwise spent manually matching clips.
And if you collaborate with others on your video projects, you can now lock specific sequences so other editors can view (but not change) your work. Offline work is also supported, so you can make edits when you can and publish the changes later.
