Necrodrakon isn't a particularly strong boss in AFK Journey's Dream Realm, but he does have a nasty ability to drain your heroes' energy, making it harder for them to unleash their Ultimates. The ideal team to take on Necrodrakon can perform well without relying too much on these abilities.

ARE YOU LOSSING DAMAGE? – Necrodrakon BEST TEAMS!!! [AFK Journey]

This doesn’t mean you should avoid all heroes with effective ultimates, but it’s generally harder to rely on heroes whose ultimates take a long time to charge, such as many Mages and Support heroes. However, Tanks and certain Warriors remain effective against Necrodrakon because they can quickly charge their ultimates by absorbing damage from the front. Below are the most successful team compositions I’ve used to fight Necrodrakon in the Dream Realm of AFK Journey.

Smokey Carry was the best team composition of my trials. Antandra and Temesia play a crucial role in significantly reducing Necrodrakon’s attack, increasing your team’s ability to withstand his area attacks and, in my experience, allowing me to keep fighting until the timer ran out. Kruger is instrumental in lowering Necrodrakon’s defense and also provides high damage. Vala serves as our backline carry, dishing out massive damage from a safe distance. The team’s overall health is maintained by Smokey & Meerky, who should be placed in the front tile of your formation to ensure their smoke reaches all allies for healing and buffing as often as possible. Occasionally, Antandra’s Shield Formation will provide additional shields, allowing her to absorb more damage.

No Healing is also a great team composition if you don't have Smokey. The strategy still revolves around using Antandra to weaken Necrodrakon's attack and strengthen Kruger, which in turn lowers the boss's defense and increases the entire team's damage output. Vala and Seth focus on tearing Necrodrakon apart. Lucius, on the other hand, acts as a secondary tank up front, absorbing hits to activate his Divine Light Aegis ultimate, which provides shields to the front line. While this team doesn't have traditional healing, Lucius' shields act as a stand-in, with the Awakening Artifact providing gradual healing for the team.
