To play AFK Journey's Treasure Hunt, use the small icon in the bottom left of your screen that appears after you accept a quest from a Hamster. This icon looks like a blue bell and is what you use to find the treasure location.

After accepting a Hamster’s Treasure Hunt, look for the blue bell icon in the bottom left of your screen, just above the AFK Progress button. Tap it to summon a lantern that will cast a cone of light in a specific direction. The treasure will be somewhere within the highlighted area. Move around and summon more lanterns to narrow down the location. If two or more lanterns are illuminating an area, the treasure will be in that overlapping space.

Once you think you know the exact spot, stand on it and summon the lantern again. If you get it right, all the lanterns will disappear and the treasure chest will appear. Go there and tap the shovel icon to reveal and open it, claim the rewards and complete the puzzle.

The best strategy is to use your first lantern next to the Hamster and place the second in the middle of the area lit by the first. For subsequent lanterns, stand in the middle of the overlapping areas. Use these lanterns freely, as they will replenish themselves automatically.
