The Anime Defenders community was disappointed by the recent introduction of what they see as pay-to-win mechanics in the latest update. Players voiced their displeasure over the requirement to grind extensively in order to obtain Wishes needed for special summons. Negative fan reactions forced the Anime Defenders developer to issue a statement and admit that he made a mistake.
"We take full responsibility for missing the mark on this one. We love our community and F2P players and fully deserve the hate right now – we didn't want to let anyone down with this final update."
