This article explains what an AHS file is and how to open one on your computer.

A file with the AHS file extension is used to store the settings that Adobe Photoshop needs to create a halftone image.
Halftone images are commonly used for printing artwork. They consist of large or small dots, with the purpose of reducing the amount of ink used to display the image. Photoshop stores information about the dots in the file, such as their frequency in lines per inch or lines per centimeter, the angle in degrees, and the shape (e.g. diamond, cross, circle, square).
If your file is not used with Photoshop, it is probably an HP Active Health System file, a log file that stores diagnostic information that is then typically emailed to HP Support. It is saved in an archive format, so there are multiple files within one file, such as an XML file and some PKG files.
