Researchers from the University of Liverpool say they have developed a collaborative artificial intelligence tool that reduces the time and effort needed to discover new materials. The innovation is part of the growing use of AI to help develop everything from new drugs to new batteries.
“Powerful software tools, processing power, and inexpensive memory allow AI to fully automate complex tasks and make consistent and accurate discoveries,” Matthew Putman, CEO of Nanotronics, a company that uses AI, told Lifewire in an email interview.
“It requires less manpower for maintenance and can be quickly adapted as production strategies and plans change.”
