Landing spots are practically sacred in competitive Apex Legends. Teams fight for months for a spot, then build their entire gameplan around landing there. And generally, contesting another team on LAN isn’t ideal—unless you’re Aurora.
Gnaske 1v3's Aurora with SKY NADES | ALGS Pro League
Comprised of veteran mouse/keyboard players Kiryl “9impulse” Kostsiu, Svyatoslav “ojrein” Korochinsky, and Konstantin “Hardecki” Kozlov, Aurora has long been known as an aggressive team unafraid to flaunt their meta or take every possible fight. They notably stood out at the ALGS Split One Playoffs in Los Angeles as one of the few teams to pick Lifeline. But they further expanded their wildcard reputation on the first day of competition when they hot-dropped at three different points of interest in three consecutive games on World's Edge and proceeded to win every match they took.
After beating their usual World's Edge POI Climatizer in the first game and getting a few kills in a long-running match with Red Rams, they surprised the entire lobby in the second game by not finishing at Climatizer, but instead at Overlook with North America's Cloud9, whom they defeated handily.
It almost felt like the CIS players tried to outdo themselves in game six as they decided it was KINOTROPE Gaming’s turn to take their fury to Epicenter, and lay waste to their opponents once again. The arena was shocked as Aurora won their third straight game against a third different team, on a third different POI.
