When it comes to preparing food for the animals in each of the enclosures in Zoochosis, there are a few important steps to consider. The tutorial briefly explains how the process works, but leaves the rest up to you to figure out as you play. However, we have an easy to follow guide that will show you all of the animal food recipes in Zoochosis and how to make food.

First of all, food in the game is crafted from Food Bricks that are stored in the Cold Room area of the Hub (as seen above), which the Doc shows you during the Tutorial. To access the Cold Room, you’ll need to remove the Brick Trolley from the train (if it isn’t already) and push it down the track until the doors to the freezer open. Inside, you’ll find Food Bricks in cargo bins for all of the following categories:

It’s important to note that each type of food is available in limited quantities throughout the game. As indicated by the numbers on the wall next to each loading bin, you start the game with access to 20KG of each type of food (except meat). If the bin runs out of bricks, you can pull the level on the wall next to it to refill it with more, but the number will decrease as you do so, so make sure to use them wisely.

Before you go to a new animal enclosure, make sure you collect the food bricks you need to make their specific food. Load them onto the Brick Trolley and push it back to the train. Pull the Brick Trolley level on the side of the train to load it in, then step into the train. We recommend preparing your food before you go to the enclosure, just in case of mistakes and to save yourself time.
