Traits in Anime Royale strengthen your units and thus make them more useful for your cause. To do that, you need to get Rerolls (traits resource) and try your luck. You can get them via Anime Royale codes, by playing different game modes and completing daily quests. Below is a list of all traits in Anime Royale.
Warlord is the best trait in Anime Royale because it deals pure damage (50% damage buff) not only to a unit that has it, but to all units within range (20% damage buff). While it is hard to get (only 0.3%), stranger things have happened. Other traits offer similar bonuses but different stats, so choosing the best one depends on your needs. Don't waste Rerolls on Rare and Epic units; save them for Legendaries and Mythics.
