The pixel art gacha game Sword of Convallaria features over 20 legendary characters for players to collect and use in their strategies as they complete levels in the Fool's Journey. Each player starts with Maitha and can obtain more characters through summoning.

You'll notice that you can't use your characters while playing Spiral of Destinies mode, only in Fool's Journey and Crossing Worlds modes. While in Elysium in Fool's Journey, you can collect the characters you encounter in Spiral of Destinies, and one will not affect the other. You don't have a higher chance of getting a character while summoning if you've already encountered them in Spiral of Destinies.

All characters in Sword of Convallaria are divided into four roles: Defender, Breaker, Seeker, Guardian, and Destroyer. They have five factions: Sword of Convallaria Mercenary Group, Kingdom of Iria, Vlder Tribes, The Union of the Knights' States, and the Papal States of Rodinia.

Epic characters often have names like Blade, Abyss, and Butterfly, while rare and common characters have their jobs named after them, such as Recruited Pikeman, Knighted Guard, and KA Fire Conjurer.
