Splitgate 2's Alpha is almost here, and players around the world will have the chance to try out the sequel to the beloved Portal first-person shooter. But before it begins, you'll want to learn more about the game's classes and their abilities to build out your teams.
Splitgate 2 New Factions Overview
You can choose from three classes (or factions) in Splitgate 2: Aeros, Meridian, and Sabrask. Each of the three factions has its own ability and team trait, a bonus for you and your teammates. While there are no set “roles” for the factions, their descriptions suggest a playstyle that fits your usual support, defense, and offense roles.
The Aeros faction is defined as “fast and agile,” and will likely be a good choice for players who prefer faster combat and a way to fire abilities more often. Meridian’s abilities offer faster health regeneration and visibility to teammates, so those who lean toward more support roles may want to pick this faction up. Finally, Sabrask brings a barrier wall that protects teammates, and the faction’s team ability provides extra reserve ammo for your team.
Here are all the classes in Splitgate 2, their abilities, and team traits ahead of the game's alpha next week.
