Before you question this entry, yes, Prototype is a class! I haven’t seen any guides mention this (which is why the class switching process seems so complicated), but I can assure you that it is its own class, and should be understood as such. To put it simply, Prototype is the class that allows you to use the Omnitrix and transform into aliens—once you claim the Omnitrix, you will switch from Human to Prototype.

If you have the Omnitrix equipped and then try to unlock any of the other classes listed below, it won't work; that's because (despite what people have left out of their guides) you have a class actively locked to your character (Prototype), and you can't switch between classes. You have to change your class back to Human (default or classless) before you can switch to a new class!
