Your primary goal during the Critical Countdown event is to collect four types of DNA samples through multiplayer matches and ultimately use them to unlock rewards in Modern Warfare 3. Here's the list of all the DNA strands you can obtain:
As you can clearly see, there are only two of the four DNA samples available in the game at the moment, and they can be obtained by killing your opponents or looting caches. The type of DNA sample you get is completely random though, so you may have to grind for a certain type in order to unlock its corresponding reward.
