Valve's mysterious project Deadlock is finally getting off the ground, with the SMITE-esque MOBA FPS set to be available for early developer play from mid-2024.
Twenty heroes are available in the first version of Deadlock's alpha, up from the 19 that leaked when the project went public in May. Here's a look at each hero, their abilities and ultimates, and a bit about how leveling up each skill works in Deadlock.
Each Deadlock hero has three main skills and one ultimate. These skills can be upgraded using Ability Points, which are earned by collecting Souls or completing objectives while on the map. The first skill upgrade costs one Ability Point, the second costs two points, and the final upgrade costs five points.
These skills can be further improved using items. For example, weapons can be given more ammo and some skills can be enhanced with Spirit Power.
