Wizards of the Coast is adding several non-base lands from Magic: The Gathering to The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth, along with a slew of legendary lands.
Lord of the Rings MTG Tin Battle
Thematically tied in with the Lord of the Rings lore, several lands were added to spice up the Modern-legal set. There are over 250 regular cards in The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth (LTR) set, including a cycle of legendary lands with strategic locations in the lore, from Buckleberry Ferry to Osgiliath. All of the lands in the LTR Holiday products were also added to the land compilations.
Returning lands like Evolving Wilds have been added to improve mana pools in the LTR Draft and Sealed formats, while a reprint of Field of Ruin could remove one of the new legendary lands.
There are also lands like Cavern of Souls that have been reprinted, with images and a middle name, similar to the Godzilla cards that were in IKO. These reprinted MTG lands with new skins are box toppers for the Lord of the Rings MTG set and can also be added to collector LTR booster packs.
