Wizards of the Coast released over 20 Magic: The Gathering sets at GenCon on August 5, with releases scheduled between 2023 and 2026. These include major IP Universes Beyond crossovers, Remastered sets, Commander Precons, and Standard-legal sets.
All Magic sets announced through 2026!
In celebration of 30 years of Magic: The Gathering at GenCon, WotC surprised fans and players with every upcoming set through 2026. Players could experience popular set blocks from the past via sets like Ravnica and Innistrad Remastered, while Modern players could look forward to a third Modern Horizon set. There were also multiple IP crossovers that tapped into franchises like Jurassic World, Final Fantasy, and Assassin's Creed.
Along with the big MTG set news, a new Secret Lair was also announced. For a limited time, a Secret Lair Commander deck called Angels: They're Just Like Us but Cooler and with Wings will be released on August 10 at 11:00 a.m. CT. The Commander deck will feature a mechanically unique card, according to WotC, that was only seen in the 2001 video game Magic: The Gathering. All of the cards will have foil treatments and new art, priced at $149.99.
