Spiritomb is returning to Pokémon Go with the Halloween 2024 event. For a limited time, there’s a free Timed Research ticket for all players to unlock or add to your collection, but it won’t be long before it disappears.

As with previous Spiritomb encounters, this is the only way to obtain this Pokémon. It won’t be available directly in the wild or in raid encounters. It will only appear for Halloween, and if you don’t act quickly, you won’t have a chance to add it to your Pokédex. We’ve got a full rundown of all the tasks and rewards you need to complete the Pokémon Go Halloween 2024: Spiritomb Challenge.
This is a free Timed Research available to anyone who logs into Pokémon Go during the Halloween 2024 event, which begins on October 22 at 10:00 a.m. PT in your local time zone. The Timed Research will immediately post to your Today View, ready for you to begin working on. As you might expect, many of the tasks involve you attempting to catch and track down various Pokémon that will appear during the Halloween 2024 event.
The big focus for the Spiritomb Challenge is trying to find Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon. One of the tasks is to find and catch at least 108 of them. Of these, Ghost-type Pokémon can be tricky to find in Pokémon Go, but you should have more luck when it gets dark. While it may be dark where you live, it should be dark in the game. Wait until night falls, and more Ghost-type Pokémon should start to spawn near you. If you’re having a hard time finding them, it’s always a good idea to equip an Incense to your character and take a walk around.
