There are so many ways James Sunderland's story could end in the Silent Hill 2 remake, but unfortunately this love story doesn't have a fairytale ending.
Silent Hill 2 Remake – ALL ENDINGS (Good/Bad/True/Secret)
With eight Silent Hill 2 remake endings (two additional to James and Mary's story), here's our complete guide on how to unlock all of the Silent Hill 2 remake endings.
Interestingly, the new Silent Hill 2 endings are locked behind New Game+. These tie into the Rebirth ending of the original game. You won’t be able to get these endings on your first playthrough, as you’ll need to get at least one of the three classic endings before attempting your next run with either the Stillness or Bliss conclusions in mind.
Most endings are tied to your inventory or how you treat Maria. This allows you to customize your ending at the nine-panel save point before the double Pyramid Head boss fight. If you choose to look through your personal items or leave them, you will get two endings. You should also keep a manual save slot intact for another playthrough. This will help you get the third ending within the same save file. You can place this at the beginning of Brookhaven Hospital.
