While it’s mandatory to complete each region’s Rescue Quest to progress in Creatures of Ava, that doesn’t mean you have to send every creature you find into a random Rescue Bot away. Each species has a purpose and a willingness to help, and it’s up to you to make use of it.

Below are all of the species you can tame in Creatures of Ava, including their abilities, how difficult they are to tame, and how dangerous they are to Ava if infected with Withering.

You should always keep creatures nearby, as they are guaranteed to be useful during your expedition. Each species has a useful ability that allows you to clear barricades or create brand new paths. By using what they have to offer, you can steer Vic in the right direction to unlock permanent upgrades (like extra inventory storage).

Rescue Bots specify which animals to transport based on who is nearby. Rescue Bot creatures are restricted to their zone. This means you cannot use a species ability to unblock a passage or open a door if you have shipped all creatures in that area. Creatures do not respawn after teleporting.
