After nearly three years in beta, Star Wars: Hunters released on June 4. But where you can play the free-to-play arena combat game has many confused. Here's what we know about where you can play the new Star Wars game.
My initial thoughts on SEASON 2 of Star Wars: Hunters…
At the time of its June 4 launch, the only platforms Star Wars: Hunters supported were the Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS devices. The arena combat game was designed primarily for mobile devices, with a rollout on Android and iOS devices beginning in November 2021. In an interview with RadioTimes , game design director Scott Warner explained that Switch play was added because “it’s an accessible console” and “fits the accessible nature of what we’re trying to present.”
Star Wars: Hunters publishers Zynga and Lucasfilm Games have no plans at launch for the free-to-play game to release on platforms like PC, Xbox, Xbox Game Pass, PS4, or PS5. Considering it took nearly three years for the arena battler to launch on mobile and Switch devices, it's unlikely that additional platforms will be added in the near future. However, there is a hack to play Star Wars: Hunters on PC.
To play Star Wars: Hunters on PC, download an Android emulator like BlueStacks, according to content creator AZZATRU. An emulator is tricky for a PC, so check your settings to make sure it runs smoothly.
