Riot will release the first update for Swarm on July 31, alongside League of Legends Patch 14.15. This update will focus on performance improvements, bug fixes, and buffs to underperforming champions and builds, with an emphasis on improvements rather than nerfs.
NEW UPDATED TIER LIST for PATCH 14.15 – League of Legends
Riot has emphasized that it’s focusing on buffs rather than nerfs for this Swarm patch, saying that it’s “intentionally avoiding nerfs” with exceptions made for features, mechanics, or characters that impact server or client performance—or are “far out of line.” This approach is aimed at improving the overall gameplay experience and patching up underperforming elements. Let’s take a closer look at all the buffs and a few nerfs coming to Swarm with Patch 14.15.
The biggest changes coming to Swarm are adjustments to bosses and their enraged mode. Previously, bosses would become invisibly enraged after five minutes, causing players to die instantly. After this patch, however, enraged bosses will now glow visibly red, causing them to deal 20 percent more damage for 30 seconds before unleashing a player-killing nova.
This new enrage system makes the mechanics more transparent and gives players a clearer understanding of when to act quickly to avoid the devastating final attack. Be careful on the Beachhead map, however, as Aatrox's enrage timer resets when he enters his second phase.
