Dead By Daylight features many realms. Some are more aesthetically pleasing than others, while others are more practical for gameplay purposes. Either way, some maps are simply more popular and beloved by the community. Here is every Dead By Daylight map, ranked from worst to best, based on overall appeal, usability, and accessibility during strategic gameplay sessions.

After launch, Dead By Daylight players entered the exciting world of Raccoon City. The Resident Evil realm includes the Raccoon City Police Station. Given its massive size, the Raccoon City Police Station can help players evade the killer with a plethora of hiding places, but its labyrinthine design makes it difficult to repair generators and work together with teammates.

For Silent Hill fanatics, the inclusion of Midwich Elementary School in Dead By Daylight is a dream come true. For others, the multiple floors and maze of hallways prove more frustrating than helpful. Midwich Elementary offers a wide variety of escape options for chase scenes, and there are enough escape routes to make sticky situations manageable. The complex layout can be a drawback for addicted survivors, however, especially when their teammates have to navigate the confusing realm to find them.

Despite its name, this map doesn’t inspire joy. Introduced with the Roots of Dread expansion, Garden of Joy is fairly balanced on the outside, but once the Hunt enters the twisted mansion, things quickly turn in the Survivors’ favor. With plenty of windows, looping areas, and pallets, meta-killers like the Huntress and Hillbilly will struggle. Otherwise, the map’s overall size is one of the largest in Dead by Daylight. Killers patrolling generators, like the sultry Executioner, will have an equally tough time.
