Ubisoft’s new arena shooter takes inspiration from other shooters on the market, as well as Ubisoft itself. XDefiant’s playable factions are drawn from the developers’ own games, ranging from the revolutionaries of Far Cry 6 to the tough Cleaners of The Division 2, with spec ops soldiers, hackers and spies in between.
All Skill Guide in XDefiant
The factions of XDefiant function similarly to classes. Each faction has its own skills: one passive, a choice of two different active skills, and an ultimate skill called an "ultra." Each class kit makes them proficient in a specific role.
Players can only bring one of two abilities into a fight, but they can quickly switch up their abilities, factions, and even weapon loadouts mid-match. Factions don’t restrict loadouts either, so pick the one that best suits your playstyle—and don’t be afraid to switch if it’s not working.
If you have a team with all factions represented, your team will be prepared for almost any scenario. Consider filling in the gaps when selecting your faction to avoid putting your team at a disadvantage.
