Amazon Luna introduces new ways for users to enjoy games, including several new channels and a couch mode.

Amazon Luna launched almost a year ago, and since then Team Luna has introduced several new features and channels. The latest announcements include a range of new channels, new games to play, and a brand new mode called Luna Couch.

Of course, it’s always fun to get new titles on cloud gaming services, and the latest additions to Luna include Mega Man 11 and Smite. The biggest announcement coming out on Thursday, however, is the introduction of the Family Channel, which features 35 games suitable for all ages. These games include titles like Garfield Kart – Furious Racing, Space Otter Charlie, and Transformers: Battlegrounds, as well as SkateBIRD, which is coming later this month.

The other big addition to Luna this month is Luna Couch, which lets players play games with others via local cooperative gameplay, as well as multiplayer games. Users who join you on Luna Couch don’t need to have an active Luna account, and you don’t even need to be physically together, according to Amazon. So in theory, you could play with a buddy across the country via Amazon Luna, even if they don’t have an account.
