Apex Legends players are finally getting their first look at E-District, the new cityscape and playground they’ll be battling through in Season 22. And E-District, as it’s called, looks like the cyberpunk cityscape of our dreams.

Apex Legends' newest Battle Royale map, 'E-District', is INSANE!

E-District is the first new battle royale map to release in Apex since Broken Moon arrived in Season 15, out in November 2022. Players have received a number of huge updates to other maps since then, almost on par with getting a new map, with major reworks coming to both Storm Point and the aforementioned Broken Moon. But with a nearly two-year gap between new maps, many players were ready for something very, very different from what came before. And it looks like that’s what we’re getting.

Respawn says that E-District is "a map built for verticality and direct, continuous action", which should be music to the ears of the Apex community, who love nothing more than a large building to hot-drop into. The incredibly long sightlines between POIs that have been a hallmark of nearly every map in Apex history seem to be much less prevalent in E-District, with the map looking densely populated with structures.

Some of these structures feel familiar, like the city and the park full of cherry blossoms. But there are also areas that don’t seem like they’re comparable to anything in Apex right now, like the night market. Just make sure you don’t get a grenade in your windows.
