Apex Season 22, Shockwave, launched less than a week ago, and its arrival has seemingly gone smoothly, aside from some of the game’s more pervasive audio bugs. But just a day into the season, the new map E-District was removed from the ranked playlist, which wasn’t originally intended for the first three days of the season so players could learn the ins and outs of the new map. Respawn apologized for the mistake and made E-District the only available map over the weekend to make up for the misstep. But today, there appears to be a much bigger problem to deal with.

If you log into Apex now, you’ll be greeted with a message welcoming you to a new ranked split, and a notification that your rank has been reset accordingly. That’s interesting, considering the first ranked split of the season is supposed to last six weeks.
