The new legend and map changes are sure to steal the show, but there’s more than enough balance changes to sink your teeth into if you want to understand the ins and outs of the game you’re playing. From Crypto buffs to new gameplay mechanics, here’s what to expect from Apex’s new season.
Alter is the newest Legend to enter the games, with an ability kit that revolves around her tactic: Void Passage. Alter can open a portal through surfaces up to 20 meters deep for anyone to use, and this portal can be used both horizontally and vertically. She complements this tactic with her passive, Gift from the Rift, which allows her to retrieve an item from a death box from a distance, and the Void Nexus ultimate, which allows her and her teammates to travel back to a regroup point she previously set up.
Alter's full set of abilities should shake up the traditional Apex gameplay. There are several choke points and buildings that can be used to surprise campers, rather than throwing deadly traps.
