Apex Legends players have been waiting years for a fully urbanized battle royale map to appear in the game. Thanks to a teaser for the August 1 Season 22 trailer, it looks like the wait is almost over.

Respawn Entertainment dropped a short teaser today to build up hype for the new season’s launch trailer. The footage, titled “Shockwave,” showed the Legends battling it out in uncharted territory: a neon-lit cityscape at night. “Ready to light up the city?” the message read, adding further fuel to the now almost certain fire that the long-awaited leaked city map is almost here.

Apex has historically only had affairs with cities and urban environments. World's Edge and Olympus both represented partial attempts at more urban environments, but also featured much more open and undeveloped terrain. That doesn't seem to be the case in the newest map, last seen in a trailer featuring Alter and Horizon.
