The Apple AirPods Pro are widely considered to be the best wireless earbuds you can buy. The sound quality is probably best for most people (not too much bass, but still full enough to support most styles of music), the active noise cancellation is pretty decent, and the design, if you’re a fan of Apple products, is widely adored (a.k.a. copied).

There’s also a whole list of extras, as you’d hope for at this price, including a chip that enables direct pairing with Apple devices and immersive 360-degree audio. I got my hands on a pair of AirPods Pro to test them out for work calls, podcasts, workouts, and more.

When the first-generation AirPods initially launched, they were met with some criticism from a design perspective, but now the “hanging stem” design has been copied by countless different brands. The AirPods Pro take this design to a more modern level, with a shorter, more curved stem than the non-Pro AirPods, and a larger, more elongated housing that holds the driver, the bit of the headphone that actually creates the sound.
