In honor of Black History Month, Apple is highlighting a wide range of audio, video and app-related content.

It’s all part of the company’s Black Unity Collection, which features TV and film collections curated by Dr. Jelani Cobb, dean of the Columbia University School of Journalism. This year’s offering is themed “The Matter of Black Lives,” though Apple hasn’t released a list of the films and shows included in the collection.
Apple Music is also joining in with themed radio programming on Apple Music 1 and related channels, adjacent playlists, and more. Apple Maps is getting a number of new guides created by the Smithsonian to shed light on the civil rights struggles of the past century.
The App Store will take the opportunity to highlight apps and games created by Black creators or intended for Black communities. One of those titles is Dot’s Home, a 2022 App Store Award-winning game designed to educate users about housing inequity in communities of color.
