Apple has announced the opening date for its 2021 Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the conference will once again be held exclusively online.

Apple announced that its annual developer conference will kick off on June 7 at 10 a.m. PDT with an opening keynote. As previously reported, the event will run through June 11. According to ZDNet, Apple sent out multiple invites to members of the media and developers with the tagline "And away we go."
Apple is expected to preview iOS 15, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, macOS 12, and tvOS 15. The company is also expected to follow tradition and release the first beta builds for these operating systems.
Like every other year of WWDC, the 2021 edition is likely to feature a variety of elements, including a heavy focus on the current state of Apple's platforms and the company's plans for the future. A "Platforms State of the Union" keynote will take place at 2 p.m. PDT on June 7, following the opening keynote. Apple says the keynote will focus on the new tools and advancements it's making for developers.
