Next week, the second season of Apple Music Live kicks off, featuring a special performance from Ed Sheeran.
Ed Sheeran — Curtains (Apple Music Live 2023)
A new season of Apple Music Live, a series of streamed concerts available only to Apple Music subscribers, is set to kick off with Ed Sheeran’s Subtract album. But for the first time, the concert series will also be available to Apple TV+ users.
The season kicks off with Sheeran performing Subtract live at London’s Eventim Apollo venue (backed by a 12-piece band). An interview with Sheeran about the concert is scheduled to air on Tuesday, May 9, but viewers can also find the set list, behind-the-scenes footage and more once the show is over via Shazam. Apple hasn’t said anything about its plans for future performances, but last year’s lineup included live performances from artists like Billie Eilish and Mary J. Blige.
Additionally, Apple Music Live is expanding from the Apple Music service to Apple TV+. Availability will start with Ed Sheeran’s season two concert, but Apple says that all future Apple Music Live performances will be shared across both platforms as well. It doesn’t appear that you need to subscribe to both services, either, as Sheeran’s upcoming performance already has its own listing in the Upcoming Releases section.
