The iPad Air we've been dreaming about has just been announced by Apple.
13” iPad Air one month later: almost perfect!
During Apple’s May iPad event on Tuesday, the company dropped a number of new iPad improvements, with the first announcement centered around changes to the iPad Air line. The new lineup now includes the 11-inch iPad Air with an M2 chip and a new 13-inch iPad Air also with the M2 chip, both of which now also get a front-facing landscape camera.
The new iPad Air models feature a Liquid Retina display, with an M2 chip that brings faster CPU, GPU, and neural processing to the platform. Besides the larger size and faster processor, the most interesting change is the 12MP landscape camera on the front.
Apple says the new Ultra Wide camera includes Center Stage, which uses machine learning to keep your subject in the center of the frame during FaceTime or video calls. The camera supports 4K video with support for 240 fps slow-mo recording, and has dual landscape-oriented speakers for spatial audio capabilities. And the 13-inch iPad Air gets extra bass support for a richer sound.
