This article explains how to fix an Apple TV not working issue. Instructions apply to Apple TV 4K and Apple TV HD running tvOS 13.3 with the Siri Remote.

A restart can usually fix most issues you might experience with your Apple device. There are three ways to restart your Apple TV device: using the Siri Remote, using the tvOS system screen, and disconnecting your Apple TV device.

Press and hold the Menu button and the Home button on the Siri Remote at the same time until the status light on the Apple TV device begins to flash.

To restart from the tvOS system screen, use the Siri Remote to select Settings > System > Restart.
