The second iteration of Apple's Vision Pro spatial computing headset could bring improvements to image quality, physical design, and, most importantly, could introduce a more affordable model. Here's what we know so far.

The first Apple Vision Pro came out in early 2024, so we shouldn’t expect the successor’s release date to come too soon. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, one of the most involved Apple reporters, said in his April 2024 newsletter that Apple doesn’t plan to release a second-generation Vision Pro before late 2026.
If there are two models, Apple may announce the cheaper version before introducing the more expensive option.
We haven’t heard much in the way of pricing for the Apple Vision Pro 2. Given that the first-generation model cost $3,499, I’d expect the second-generation model to cost about the same. Apple doesn’t typically drop prices on its devices by much. Instead, it typically bumps up the features for the same price.
