Apple announced the Watch Series 9 on September 12, 2023, a year after the Series 8. Its release date is September 22, right alongside the iPhone 15. We expect the 9's successor, the Apple Watch X, to be released in September 2024.
The base model of the Apple Watch Series 9 starts at $399 with Wi-Fi only, just like the Series 8 and 7.
The Apple Watch Series 9 largely features software updates from watchOS 10.
