An Apple Watch Ultra refresh could be on the way. Or maybe not. Here's when to expect Apple's next Ultra smartwatch and what rumors say about how it will differ from the Apple Watch Ultra 2.
Apple Watch Ultra 3 specs and release date!
It makes sense that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 release date aligns with the last two models. The first Apple Watch Ultra and the second generation came out in September 2022 and 2023, respectively.
However, the company hasn’t announced or teased a new Ultra watch yet, and we haven’t seen any insider leaks suggesting one is coming anytime soon. On the contrary, leaker Ming-Chi Kuo suggests (in late 2023) that Apple may not release a new Apple Watch Ultra in 2024 because “it needs more time to develop innovative health management features, ensure the manufacturability of new features, and address issues related to Micro LED manufacturing.”
Still, we do expect a new Apple Watch Ultra at some point. It’s just not clear when that will be. We’ll keep an eye on the next Apple event for any mentions of this smartwatch.
