Apple has just released a year-end roundup of apps that the company says “deliver meaningful experiences to users and drive cultural change.”

This year, Apple chose apps from 40 finalists, including some fairly well-known apps (like Duolingo). Categories include App of the Year and Game of the Year picks for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, and Cultural Impact.
From that list of 40 finalists, the App Store editorial team chose 14 apps that the group felt offered innovation, usability, and design in the aforementioned categories. App winners reflect a variety of different utilities for Apple devices, including:
The game winners represent games for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Arcade. These include Honkai: Star Rail, Lost in Play, Lies of P and Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
