Apple Music's New Hidden Feature: The Discovery Station #apple #applemusic #musicdiscovery
Apple Music has a new station designed to help you discover songs you might like. According to a report from Apple Insider, the app’s Discovery Station is designed to present you with a hand-picked selection of music. This selection is influenced by your recent listening habits, with an emphasis on songs you haven’t yet added to your library or heard.
"Discovery Station is great for people who are in a hurry on their way to work or school and don't want to browse through apps, or frankly, can't because browsing might mean falling into the subway tracks because you're not watching where you're going," film score composer Nicole Russin-McFarland told Lifewire in an email interview. "Or for when you're feeling lazy. You don't want to browse and want the tech systems to do it for you."
Without any formal announcement, Discovery Station unexpectedly surfaced for users in the early morning of August 7. When browsing through the Apple Music app, users can now see the addition of this new feature under the Stations for You category within the Listen Now tab. MacRumors discovered a direct link to the station.
